As a doctor, have you ever taken the time to put yourself in your patient’s shoes? There are many variables in between these two instances that create the patients thoughts and opinions about you and your practice.
In his article called “Creating an Unforgettable New Patient Experience,” David Milligan of Salt Dental Practice Management suggests asking questions and listening to new patients in order to build a relationship foundation with the patient based on trust. Questions should be asked all the way through the process by all staff members who come in contact with the patient.
