We recently came across a solution that allows you to avoid having to modify a stock tray in order to take an open tray implant impression. These little miracle trays are called Mira Trays® and they are sold by Pearson Dental.

The tray itself is an open shell that uses foil technology allowing the guide pins to pierce through the foil while holding the impression material. This technique saves time and money and is also clean and precise with no overflow of impression material.

Mira Trays® are compatible with all impression materials and implant systems and are available in a variety of sizes for the maxilla and mandible as well as for the dentulous and edentulous jaws. We use these regularly for our All-on-4® dental implant cases.  Click here for more information.
