Lack of Room with Precision Attachments

Lack of Room with Precision Attachments

Often, we receive cases involving attachments for a partial denture that have very little space or in some cases are in contact with the opposing teeth. The obvious problem with this kind of challenge is that the attachments compromise the strength of the denture tooth that it is placed over it resulting continuous fractures.

The best solution we have found for this situation is to cast an on lay as part of the partial framework and place an acrylic veneer on the facial of the attachment. Although not as aesthetic showing a metal occlusal, it is not going to break.
